RCT Performance Swimming Club is looking for a highly motivated swim coach who is passionate about swimming, to work alongside our head coach and a team of volunteer coaches.

The successful candidate will assist the Head Coach in coaching competitive swimmers through our various skills and performance squads from development to regional and national levels. You will work with swimmers to improve technique and work on the development of advanced skills and performance. You will support our swimmers at all stages of their development and provide support at local competitions.

Part-time Assistant Coach required: RCT Performance Swimming Club is looking for a highly motivated swim coach who is passionate about swimming, to work alongside our head coach and a team of volunteer coaches.

A DBS check and references will form part of the suitability for the role. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. An opportunity to work during the day delivering the school swimming programme may also be available to the successful candidate.

•  As a minimum hold a UKCC level 1 coaching certificate be working towards a UKCC Level 2 Coaching qualification or equivalent and be committed to ongoing professional development
•  Membership of a relevant professional body (BSCA, IOS, GMB)
•  Demonstrate a strong understanding of LTAD and swimming at the highest levels
•  Be skills-focused with the ability to apply and share technical knowledge
•  Have excellent time management, organisation, communication and administration/computer skills
•  Be able to work with, and encourage, swimmers at all levels ensuring that all athletes are given the opportunity to maximise their potential
•  Be able to work well with a team
•  Attend home and away meets to support the Club's competition programme which will include weekends
•  Demonstrate sensitivity and respect for the needs of all involved with the club
•  Flexible attitude to work to meet the changing needs of the role and club
•  Full driver's license access to own transport
•  Abide by the club’s constitution and code of conduct
•  Any other duties as required by the needs of the job
